OFA – The Association of Horticulture Professionals is the leading horticulture educational association in the United States. It is a membership-based, not-for-profit organization with a mission “to support and advance professional horticulture.” Industry segments served include garden centers, greenhouses, nurseries, landscapers, florists, interior plantscapers, emerging professionals, and allied trade.

A 20-member Board of Directors and more than 150 industry leaders serve on more than 17 committees that guide all the Association's activities. The office is currently staffed by 15 employees.

McCabe’s Greenhouse & Floral is a retail grower of bedding plants, hanging baskets, and perennials. Mike handles the day-to-day operations and overall growth of the operation. He is the past president of the Cincinnati Flower Growers, active in his community’s America in Bloom efforts, and is a member of the Indiana Flower Growers.

Mark Foertmeyer, Delaware, Ohio, is the president of Foertmeyer and Sons Greenhouse, a wholesale/retail grower operation. Mark is responsible for sales, marketing, and general management. He worked inside and outside the industry before he founded his own company in 1988. Mark has served on the board and numerous committees.

Danny is President of Takao Nursery, a mid-sized propagator of perennials, tropicals, vines, roses, and woodies. Danny's passion for plants and his enthusiasm to learn and grow is the driving force behind the company.
Lisa Graf

Lisa is an owner and partner in Graf Growers, a retailer greenhouse, garden center, and farm market business that includes a landscape division and vegetable farm. Her primary responsibilities are human resources, business development, and retail operations. A former board member, she has served on several OFA committees, including finance, strategic planning, and garden center.
Cari Peters

Allentown, Pennsylvania
Cari Peters, Allentown, Pennsylvania, is vice president at her family’s company, J.R. Peters Inc. Cari heads the research and development team in order to bring new fertilizer formulas to the horticultural industry. She manages the active, onsite J.R. Peters Laboratory and provides technical support to growers using the lab or the company’s products. She received her Ph.D. in Plant Sciences from the University of Maryland.
